The team battling across the dune sea on the second to last day.
Nine years after walking out accross the Namib Desert from the Skeleton Coast on his own, Sam went back to the fog shrouded coast of shipwrecks and bones.
He lead an expedition of nine people from Terrace Bay 500 Km up the coast to the Kunene River to Angola and inland across the dune sea to Serra Kafema.
They survived by de-salinating sea water for the duration in what could only be described as very harsh conditions; sandstorms, fog, Heat, cold & large predators to boot. Even without carrying water, the packs weighed in excess of 30Kg. You can read more about the adventure on the links below.
