The Sinai's ancient history litters the desert; from the 6,000 year old stone structures "Nawamis" to Nebatean ruins at Sheik Awad, hailing from this fifth century trading empire, based at Petra Jordan.

10 DAY EXPEDITION - PRICES FROM £1,840 pp

The expedition starts at the Temple of Hathor near the ancient turquoise mines of Serrabeit el-Khadem. Here we meet our camels and guides and start out across the open desert. We finish eight days later after climbing up through the great ring dyke to the foot of Mt Sinai and the oldest surviving monastery in the world of St Catherine’s.

4 DAY ADD ON (15 DAYS TOTAL) - PRICES FROM £2.200 pp

Instead of heading south to St Catherine's on day seven, we carry on east towards wadi Rum and the Gulf of Aqabar - Crossing the sandstone desert with it's beautifully erroded sedimentary formations such as the naturally formed amphitheatre at Jebel Matamir, finishing at Wadi el-Ghaghib.

" I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Sinai with Sam's experience and knowledge it's enlightening as well as fun".
