It’s been another fantastic summer season with the British Exploring Society’s final expedition to Namibia. Trekking across the Namib to the Skeleton Coast, lots of elephants and leopards, new routes up the Brandberg Massif and rock art. See latest expedition video.
We still have Operation Hawk and the Hadza projects running this autumn, as well as planning for next year. In the meantime I have an article in the October issue of Wanderlust magazine and another 2p's worth in Geographical Magazine this January.
The yearly battle between me and Bear Grylls’ PR machine for “The World’s Leading Extreme Adventure” category in the World Travel Awards has begun again, needless to say who will win the third year in a row. Enjoy the dancing girls and champagne Bear. I have also been nominated for two awards atthe 2015 National Advenrure Awards
I have just been invited to join the Explorers Club of America, which is a great honor and gives me a slightly thicker veneer of respectability.
Lastly a big thanks to all the British Exploring leaders for their help over this year and to Tim at Aquapac and Brian at weBBen watches for sponsoring us with their great kit.
